My computer restarted the other night after it had downloaded windows updates..
When I went to use it after work, I had several various windows popup notifiers saying that various services (SSDP Discovery, Network Store Interface Service, E Com Events, etc) have been disabled. I googled the services and all I could find was what they were.. not why they'd be disabled just from a restart. Also, my wireless icon in my tray now reads "Connection status: Unknown" and "No such interface supported" with an x through the pic.. which would lead me to think I can't use the internet, yet my Dlink adapter is able to connect. I do have times where my browser says I'm not connected to the internet and it takes forever to resolve a dns.
When I click on the networking icon to go to the network and sharing center, i get all these popups telling me the services have stopped running, until I close it.
In the popup notifications, I also get told to look here:
Files that help describe the problem:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\Report0bac6db1\WER63B3.tmp.version.txt
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\Report0bac6db1\WER63B4.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\Report0bac6db1\WER6422.tmp.hdmp
But i pasting the address in the run command, I can't find them. Vista asks me if I'd like to send the information, and I choose yes.. but after sending the information to microsoft, it says they have no solutions for me at this time
This is a 2 week old computer with no new software downloaded on it besides firefox, AIM, and winamp.
Any suggestions on what the heck I did and how to fix this?
